Explore the Glass Design Range

Patterned and decorative glass changes the view through a panel while allowing light to pass through. It can add privacy, texture or a visual feature to doors, windows, cabinets, partitions and selected bathroom applications.

Use the range below as a starting point. Screen colours and small online images are only a guide, so ask your local Jim’s Glass glazier to confirm the current sample, availability and suitability before ordering.

For help comparing patterned, frosted and printed finishes, see our decorative and pattern glass guide.

Patterned Glass Designs

Each texture obscures the view differently. Consider the distance from the glass, the direction of the pattern and how much light reaches the opening.

Decorative Laminated Designs

Decorative interlayers can create a softer or more distinctive appearance while forming part of a laminated glass product. The correct thickness and specification depend on the opening.

How to Compare Glass Samples

  • Privacy: check the sample from the distance people will normally view it.
  • Light: hold the sample toward a window or light source to see how the pattern changes.
  • Pattern direction: fluted and directional designs may need to be oriented a particular way.
  • Surrounding finishes: compare the glass with nearby frames, tiles, cabinetry and hardware.
  • Cleaning: ask which face of the glass carries the texture and how it should be maintained.

Glass Selected for the Application

The design is only one part of the specification. Glass type, thickness, edgework and safety requirements must also suit the opening. A bathroom, door panel or low-level window may need a different product from a cabinet insert or decorative display panel.

Jim’s Glass can measure the opening, review the proposed use and explain whether safety glass is required. Once the design and specification are agreed, we can provide a clear quote for manufacture and installation.
