Finding the right size Pet Door
Once you’ve decided to give your pet the extra freedom and convenience of a pet door, the next step is determining what size dog or cat door is right for your pet. If its too small your pet may not fit comfortably through the pet door.
Pet Door Width
Measure the widest part of your pet, usually across their chest. Allow a few additional centimetres for clearance.
Pet Door Height
Measure your pet from the bottom of the chest or belly to the top of the shoulders, whichever is the tallest part. Add a few centimetres for comfortable clearance
Important: Remember to allow for your pet’s future growth. Weight rating is to be used as a guide only. Use your pet’s measurements to select the correct size door.
